On the evening of September 16, Consul-general of the Chinese Consulate in Jeddah Mr.Anwaer and his wife held a grand National Day Reception at the Intercontinental Hotel in celebration of the 66th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China. The reception hall was immersed in a festive and joyful atmosphere.

In his speech, consul-general Mr. Anwaer reviewed the great achievements that had been made since the founding of the People's Republic of China 66 years ago. He pointed out that  "while ensuring a stable economic development, China is now devoting itself to the transformation of the economic development mode, deepening reforms and governing the country according to the law in a comprehensive way". "In its efforts to step into a higher stage of development, China will further promote modern governance and advocate social justice". Mr. Anwaer stressed that "China has been pursuing an independent foreign policy of peace" and that "China has made an important contribution to the multi-polarization of the world, economic globalization and  democratization of international relations".  Consul-general highly praised the rapid development of the strategic and cooperative partnership between China and Saudi Arabia and the friendship between the two peoples. He highlighted that "Saudi Arabia is at an important junction of the Belt-Road project and is one of the most important partners in the Belt-Road Initiative". Mr. Anwaer extended his best wishes to a deepening of the strategic partnership and "a brighter future for both nations and the wellbeing of our two peoples". 

Deputy director-general and director of protocol of the Foreign Ministry Makkah Branch, Mr. Adel Abudullahman Bahshj and other government officials, guests from the industry and business circle and other circles of Makkah region, consul-generals and their representatives, representatives of Chinese enterprises, the Chinese Hajj delegation, overseas Chinese and students are among the over 300 guests at the reception.
